Monday 12/12/2011The annual St Stephens Day walk on the Sheeps Head way was held this year in conjunction with Muintir Bhaire Foroige Club, all funds raised on the day went to the foróige club. Eighty walkers took part, the high walk did the Barán Loop, while the low walk took a gentler walk that took in the Stone Circle. Foróige served warm and conforting refreshments in Arundels Bar on return. Thanks to all who supported the walk, guides and helpers and congrats to Muintir Bhaire Foróige club who raised €510 on the day.

Monday 05/09/2011Despite the foggy day a jolly group of walkers hit the trail and walked the Cahir Loop for National Trails Day Oct 2nd. There were stops, stories and laughs en route. Refreshments were enjoyed afterwards in Alice West's Wren Tea Room at the Blackgate. Thanks to all for taking part and helping out.

Monday 11/07/2011The walk was held on Saturday September 3rd 2011, one hundred and twenty eight brave hikers walked the route up Suifín, east to Barán down to the Old Ahakista Road, west beyond the holy well at Dromnea and back west to Kilcrohane village. Thanks and well done to Christian Aid Volunteers for orgainising this event and those who guided and took part.

Friday 17/06/2011The Sheeps Head Way in association with Durrus and District Community Council officially opened the Durrus South - Mount Corrin Walk on July 3rd.
